Abstract
Our fellows project is a collection of food stories and recipes from members of the Severn community. We will conduct interviews, research the dishes, write food stories, and cook every dish while taking pictures throughout the process. We will create our own food stories and pick our own recipes with dishes from our cultures and then turn our focus outwards and set up interviews. We will then use these interviews to get content for the food stories and recipes. Our final product will combine stories, recipes, and photos in a printed cookbook.
The Project
Severn's Recipes is a cookbook and collection of food stories with the purpose of bringing the community of Severn School closer together. The international backgrounds of the students and faculty at Severn will be highlighted through doable recipes and personal anecdotes related to food. Our ethnicities and backgrounds make us stand out and we hope this cookbook will allows members of the community to share their culture and learn about others!
